The truth about the word hacker

                Another hacker got arrested today. It was a shame that those wonderful skills where put to waste, he could of used them to be a good hacker ; a white hat hacker. Did you know that all hackers arent the ones you hear about on the news. Leave it to the press to only interview the bad ones though! A elite group called black hats have given the word hacker a bad reputation and view from the general public. Don't miss use the word hacker.

                As I stated above not all hackers are bad people or do bad things.  Hackers are mainly broken up into 3 districts. White Hat, Gray Hat and last but not least Black Hat. White hat is what you think it would be; the good guys. These hackers devote there skills into finding vurnablitys in websites and instead of using it against the website or plan out defacing it; they tell the owner. Usually these kind of hackers get paid and make a living off doing what they love with no risk of going to jail. Let me remind you they usually get granted the premission to do this by the owner.

                Gray Hat.. Hmm what does it mean? Well here I will tell you. As you can imagine by the name the Gray Hat Hackers will be somewhere in the middle between white hat and black hat. These hackers don't really like being a complete black hat and don't want to be a goody two shoes either. So this group of computer experts decides they will for the most part break into systems but not cause any real harm. If you are one of these hackers there is a slim chance you will get in trouble but hey, Hacking is like a drug you can't stop it.

                Last but not least is the black hat hackers. These are the ones who commit credit card fruad, break into online stores and ship stuff to themselves, black mail people ruin websites.  You name it and they do it. They hackers usaully hide in something and come out only sometimes. Sort of like humans there out during the day and hide at night. This place is called the deep web and this is where black hat hackers hide. Along with just about any other bad person on the internet. A black hat hacker is someone you never want to be but sometimes the white hat or gray hat is just not good enough. Sort of like how people that use Tobbaco go onto illegal drugs and keep going up. This is like the same thing.

                So now with a bit of knowledge under your belt, you can use the three terms of hackers correctly. White Hat, Gray Hat, Black Hat ; Good Neutral , Bad.  You can help the world turn the word hacker around correcting one person at a time. The good hackers sometimes get offended when you call them hackers and let your words get the best of you.  So use the words correctly. You will sound smarter and who knows maybe this will inspire you to be one of the mighty three. Just remember don't go down the wrong path. Or you WILL get caught.
